IdeaJar is developed and operated by Stephanie Galbo. Email ideajarsupport@gmail.com for help, bug reports, suggestions or privacy questions. Include your device model, operating-system version, what you were doing and what happened. A screenshot can help, but hide private idea text first. No data or attachments are sent automatically when you open an email draft.
Back up your ideas
In Settings → Backup & restore, choose Create backup and save the file somewhere you trust. An off-device copy helps protect against losing your phone. Restore from file replaces the current collection; export the current collection first if you want to keep it. Support cannot retrieve a collection that exists only on your device.
If your collection will not open
Do not uninstall IdeaJar or delete its data if you want to preserve the collection. Keep any existing backups and contact support with the error message. You do not need to attach your private collection to an initial support request.
Reminder help
Choose a time in Settings → Daily reminder, then tap Enable reminder. Check the device’s notification permission, Focus or Do Not Disturb settings, and battery restrictions if a reminder does not arrive. Android delivery can be delayed by the operating system. Saving an idea skips that day’s reminder. Reminders pause after roughly 30 days without opening the app and refresh when you return. Open IdeaJar after traveling to refresh its timezone. The web preview does not send phone notifications.
Animations and haptics
You can turn optional animations off in Settings. The device’s reduced-motion preference takes precedence. Haptic feedback depends on device hardware and system settings and is not available in the web preview.
Delete data or ask about privacy
Delete an individual idea from its detail view, or use Settings → Delete all data to remove the local collection and internal recovery copies. Exported files and device backups must be managed separately. For details about local retention and support emails, read the privacy policy.
